RTBMO Basecamp Phase One Complete: A Milestone of Teamwork and Purpose
In just 90 days since RTBMO’s founding, our Veterans, Champions, and supporters came together to accomplish something extraordinary — the completion of Phase One of the RTBMO Basecamp. Over a long, hot weekend in mid-August 2024, 15 Veterans from across all branches of service and five Champion Volunteers worked tirelessly from sunrise to sunset, building the foundation of what will become a lasting retreat for those who’ve served.
Through extreme heat and demanding conditions, the team’s dedication never wavered. Together, they set up essential infrastructure, including the UTV, tractor, storage container, cabin decking, flagpole, generator, and cooking area, creating the backbone of the Basecamp. Their effort, spirit, and camaraderie turned hard labor into something far greater: a true sense of family and shared mission.
